This role is responsible for providing hands-on field support for customers of the Transformer Service business, reporting to the Regional Operations Manager. Your skills as a driver will be utilized for mobilizing equipment from our local service centers to customer project sites, where you will work along-side the crew and learn the various aspects of substation service.
  • *Your responsibilities**
  • Drive Hitachi owned Tractor/Trailer to job sites around the country
  • Work as part of a crew to perform maintenance and installations of power transformers
  • Learn how to operate and maintain Vacuum Oil Processors (VOPs) and oil handling equipment
  • Must have and maintain a clean driving record
  • *Your background**
  • High School Diploma/GED and 1-9 years of work experience
  • Regular domestic travel is an essential component of this position
  • Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
  • Commercial Driver Licenses Class A, or be willing and eligible to attend and complete CDL training (paid for by the company)
  • Mechanical ability, good work ethic, and a desire to learn
  • Hands-on experience in service and maintenance, and the ability to use general hand tools
  • Ability to use a laptop and associated MS Office tools
