Job Description
We are in search of a Claims Adjuster to join our client's team based near Parsippany, New Jersey. The role primarily involves the management and settlement of first- and third-party bodily injury, and property damage claims. The incumbent will be required to set up and maintain claim files, negotiate settlements, and prepare claim payments.
Responsibilities:
• Manage assigned bodily injury and property damage claim files, including evaluation of claims, evaluation of coverages, establish reserves, and negotiation/settlement of claims
• Efficiently resolve complex, severe exposure claims, using high-service oriented file handling
• Investigate, evaluate and settle claims, applying technical knowledge and human relations skills to effect fair and prompt resolution of cases in effective and efficient manner
• Manage, analyze and respond to incoming claim documentation
• Ensure timely and accurate entry of new claims into financial and claims management systems
• Professionally and timely communicate with insureds and claimants to assemble required claim documentation
• Present assigned claims at claims reviews to insureds, brokers, and insurers
• Use a variety of tools, including internet, to research and complete projects as assigned
• Manage outside legal counsel on claims requiring litigation
• Review invoices and other billings for appropriateness and authorize for payment within authority.
This role requires a minimum of 3+ years of experience P& C insurance and claims. This person should have excellent communication skills and possess strong customer service skills to maintain and enhance customer relationships. Apply today for consideration!
