We are hiring Electronics Technicians to work in the Shop and the Field in LA, TX, and OK. The Field works a 14/7 schedule (housing and travel from hotel to field locations provided), and the Shop in Bossier City, LA, works at a 10/4 schedule.

Electronics Technician

The Electronics Technican (ETech) is responsible for performing maintenance and complex electronic repairs on oilfield service equipment and heavy trucks. Equipment such as Turbine Powered Pumping Units, Electric Blenders, Data Vans, Mobile Power Generator Units, and more.

Successful ETechs safely collaborate with other in-house and 3rd party skilled trades to accomplish their duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of all electronics, electrical, controls, instrumentation, and computer-based equipment
• Test solid-state circuitry to find defective parts in digital and analog equipment and replace, rebuilding and wire instrumentation as required
• Enforce the company maintenance program
• Complete equipment repairs and calibrations
• Complete equipment maintenance inspections as per schedule
• Provide performance feedback to the Electronics Lead regarding the team and the performance of the equipment
• Prepare and fill out all work orders or inspection forms and submit them to Electronic Lead
• Attend team meetings or safety meetings
• Visually inspect equipment in the yard/shop/location and report any deficiency to the Electronics Lead
• Maintain proper levels of electronic parts inventory for the shop and the service truck
• Maintain company facilities in a clean, safe, and environmentally sound manner.
• Maintain daily schedule and shop activities to ensure maximum productivity.
• Keep organized maintenance reports and documentation.
• Highly motivated self- starter able to work with little supervision
• Communicating directly with management, as well as field staff.
• Able to work in shop, as well as perform field repairs as part of fracturing crew
• Work on call as required. Work additional overtime when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Technical Diploma or formal military technical training
• One year of oilfield service experience on pressure pumping equipment preferred
• Have and maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Must have hands-on experience with Installing, maintaining, and repairing electromechanical, electrical, and electronic components, including hydraulic and pneumatic devices, in accordance with company-required standards
• Must be proficient in operating, setting up, and calibrating high-pressure transducers, flow meters (Magnetic, Turbine, and Coriolis), Densitometers, level sensors, speed sensors, and proximity sensors.
• Must be proficient in PLC maintenance/troubleshooting, computers, and networks
• Must be proficient in making changes to unit programs to correct offsets for pressure transducers and K-factors for pump
• Able to work 10 days on followed by 4 days off, or 14 days on 7 days off schedule, and travel up to 100% (housing and travel from hotel to field locations provided)
