**Description**

The Applied Electromagnetics Division of Applied Research Associates in Dayton, OH specializes in large-scale and realistic modeling and simulation in electromagnetics, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics. We have an immediate need for a Facility Security Officer (FSO) / Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) who is passionate about making meaningful contributions and impacts to national security.

The FSO / Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) will perform oversight for the industrial security and management functions for our offices in Dayton, OH, and E Lansing, MI

* Maintain compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) Manuals and Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) as well as specific program requirements

* Manage and enforce DoD security programs and requirements, including multiple classified contracts (DD254s)

* Conduct and prepare for Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) audits and interface with auditors as needed

* Develop and administer security education training; conduct foreign travel briefings and debriefings; prepare, review and track DD254s; maintain security documentation as required

* Conduct in-processing of new employees to include execution of SF 312 Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA); Program Access Requests (PARs); Program Indoctrination Agreements (PIAs); and other customer vetting processes as required

* Manage and initiate personnel clearances and process visit access requests (VARs) in Defense Information System for Security (DISS) as well as all other applicable access documentation as needed

* Provide employees with personnel security guidance consistent with the 13 adjudicative guidelines to assist them in managing their clearances

* Manage Intrusion Detection and Access Control Systems in accordance with DoD and UL 2050 standards including managing badges, access cards, and visit request

* Maintain an effective document inventory and control program for the management, shipping, and receiving of classified material

* Develop, coordinate, maintain, and execute security Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the SCIF area.

* Conduct annual self-inspections utilizing government-provided self-inspection checklists for each facility.

* Primary POC for scheduling opening and closing of facility; to include performing end-of-day checks

* Provide corrective action plans to address deficiencies identified in self-inspections.

* Conduct security inquiries, identify suspected security infractions and violations, develop reports, and make recommendations for corrective actions.

* Assist in the preparation, review, coordination, and execution of Operations Security (OPSEC) and transportation security plans as required.

* Develop, coordinate, and submit for approval physical security documentation including Fixed Facility Checklists (FFC).

* Execute other personnel, physical, and information security-related tasks as required.

**FSO / CPSO Requirements:**

* **Top Secret Clearance with an investigation date in the last 6 years.**

* **Bachelors degree or equivalent, or seven to 9 years of related experience.**

* Must have completed the FSO certification for Possessing Facilities

* Experience interfacing with DCSA and other government representatives

* Working knowledge of the 32 CFR Part 117-National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM) and Department of Defense regulations

* Experience with Microsoft Office products

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Complete understanding and wide application of all Security functional areas

* Related experience includes but is not limited to Industrial and Program security experience; successfully performing the duties of a Contractor Program Security Officer (or equivalent) for one or more programs

* Working under only general direction, provides solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions

* Experience providing support on a contract or within an organization that provides direct security support to a federal government agency within a classified work environment

* Must have the ability to interact professionally with customers, colleagues, and other facility personnel at all levels, fostering a positive business relationship with the customer(s)

* Must be well organized and be self-motivated, Multi-task oriented and capable of prioritizing

**Facility Security Officer (FSO) Desired Qualifications:**

* Knowledge of Closed Area Standards and Intelligence Community Directive 705

* Knowledge of DoD Manuals 5200.01 volumes 1-4, 5205.07, ICD 705

* Experience with NISS, DISS, SWFT, or other government applications

* Experience with SharePoint
