THIS POSTING IS FOR CONSIDERATION AS A HIGH SCHOOL INTERVENTION SPECIALIST AT INSIGHT SCHOOLS OF CALIFORNIA. ABOUT INSIGHT SCHOOLS OF CALIFORNIA AND THE POSITIONS: Insight Schools of California (a network of three public charter schools) delivers online/virtual home based-instruction to students in grades 9-12 in California. Insight Schools of California serves at-risk students. We use the K12, inc. curriculum as the basis for instruction, and teachers provide live online instruction via a web conferencing platform. While our schools do offer some scheduling flexibility, students are still required to maintain daily attendance, attend instructional sessions, and complete their coursework each day. All teachers provide students additional help, individualized attention, and ongoing communication with learning coaches, and all attend professional development meetings (virtual and in person). Insight staff and teachers contribute to a positive school culture by engaging in meaningful team collaboration and focusing on the needs of all students. Teachers also meet with students during testing and at in-person events. The Insight Intervention Specialist is responsible for working with the content team as well as the academic administrative team to provide targeted instruction in order to increase student achievement. This person must have both content and instructional expertise to review assessment data and create instructional groups. This is a temporary grant-funded position and will not lead to permanency.

Requirements / Qualifications

HOURS AND SALARY INFORMATION: Full time teachers work Monday-Friday from 8:30am-4:00pm. You are not allowed to have another job during these contracted hours. Full Time Intervention Specialist: Annual salary based on holding a Bachelors or Masters Degree and up to 3 years of experience in California See Salary Scale: We do participate in CalSTRS. Please contact your CalSTRS counselor about how employment with Insight Schools of California may affect your personal STRS account. Full time teachers are offered health, dental, & vision benefits. Benefit details are only given out upon offer. We do provide training for all programs and we have a great staff to serve as your support system. ELIGIBILITY POOL: Our postings are eligibility pools for positions that may arise during the 2024-2025 school year, ONLY. Applications and interviews are for consideration to be placed in the eligibility pool. As our enrollment continues to grow during the year, there is no way to forecast when a position will open up, which is why there are no set number of open positions listed, nor is such information given out. Please Note: Applications and interviews are only valid for one school year. For each school year an applicant would like to be considered, a new application must be submitted. REQUIRED CREDENTIAL/CERTIFICATION: (All applicants MUST have the following at the time of applying) Permanent California Residence (must live in 1 of the 22 counties we hire in) Valid/current Preliminary/Clear/Life California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Foundational-Level Mathematics OR Mathematics OR English California English Learner Authorization- Issued by CTC Requirements and Experience: Shared view of the school's mission and vision Experience as a high school English or Math teacher Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook
