UPMC Presbyterian and UPMC Shadyside hospitals are currently hiring nurses for their RN4Life program!
\n\nThis new program is for nurses who recently retired within the past two years seeking to return to the bedside as a nurse coach for new staff with less than one year of experience in practice. The focus of this program is to bring back the knowledge and expertise of nurses who have retired but still want to be at the bedside-coaching and mentoring.
\n\nTraits these nurses have that would make them the ideal candidate for consideration for this pilot program would be:
\n\nExpert Clinician
\n\tHigh performer
\n\tInter collaboration skills-known by physician colleagues, Clinical Directors, and Unit Directors as the “go-to nurse” on the unit
\n\tProfessional role model
\n\tMentoring skills
\n\tCurrent licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse either in the state where the facility is located or in a state covered by a licensure compact agreement with the state where the facility is located.
\n\tCPR is required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
\n\tUPMC approved certification preferred
