Overview: The Systems Administrator Intern will join our team of experienced information system associates in effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure of Scheels.
This position requires the ability to work in-person at our Scheels Campus in Fargo, ND. This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities: - Monitor IT environment for security threats
- Respond to and investigate security incidents
- Verify and assist with security patching
- Assist withintegration of security solutions in new and existing applications and systems
- Stay up to date with emerging security threats and vulnerabilities
- Communicate, coordinate and remediate threats in various locations across the organization
- Monitor cloud assets for exposed information, unauthorized access and other threats
Preferred Skills: - Experience with Vulnerability scanning tools
- Firewall, XDR, and or Antivirus management experience
- Basic knowledge of networking and server/endpoint administration
- Experience with scripting languages such as bash, Python, and/or YAML
- The ability to effectively communicate technical information in a concise way to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to perform basic web-application and network security tests

Education & Experience: Pursuingan Associate's degree in Computer or Networking related or equivalent experience
Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements: Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation
Sedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
