POSITION PURPOSE

Reporting to the EVP, Chief Operating Officer, provides vision and leadership for developing and executing on the technology and data strategy to enable the company to maintain its leadership position and fulfill its mission in a constantly changing and intensely competitive marketplace. Ensures optimal business value is derived from technology capabilities, services and investment, by identifying and addressing business opportunities. Represents the company in various health care industry venues; advocates and promotes the company’s positions in advancing the health care industry.

Qualifications Education Bachelor's Computer science or a related field required Advanced degree preferred Work Experience More than 10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience, preferably with three or more years at the executive level required. More than 10 years broad experience and a track record of success in information technology management, including senior level management, in a medium to large IT organization required Must have experience leading large teams of IT professionals, providing direction, guidance, and development opportunities, required. Skills And Abilities Must have demonstrated knowledge of information technology systems and capabilities as well as the ability to bring the benefits of IT to solve business issues while also managing cost and risk. Must demonstrate a thorough understanding of general business operations and familiarity with the health industry’s regulatory environment and compliance issues. Health industry sector related experience is beneficial but not required. Must be skilled at identifying and evaluating information technology opportunities and determining their appropriateness for the company. Includes the ability to assist clients with development of effective cost / benefit assessments on IT related initiatives. Must have strong organizational skills and have demonstrated ability to conceptualize, prioritize, launch, and deliver multiple information technology projects on time and within budget. Must have experience leading others to bringing enterprise-wide projects to success through others. Must have effective interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with peer members of the executive team and other business partners within and outside of the company. Must be an articulate advocate of the company’s and IT’s vision. Must have a proven record of leading change within the IT organization and throughout the company. Must demonstrate the ability to represent the company by contributing personal efforts, subject-matter expertise or thought leadership in various external settings, at the local, state and/or national level. Licenses and Certifications None Required Accountabilities And Essential Functions Oversees and leads the business technology strategic planning process via a well-organized, collaborative planning process to establish the technology, data, digital, and cloud based computing roadmap. Ensures effective planning for on time delivery of approved IT implementations for all client areas. Proactively sets and manages proper client expectations to minimize surprises and unexpected events. Ensures effective use of corporate resources. Ensures appropriate IT infrastructure and architecture is developed and maintained Ensures the organization makes sound decisions for the provision of IT services, skills and systems Ensures that high client satisfaction is maintained by actively interacting with clients and client areas Creates partnerships that establish strategic relationships with key IT suppliers and consultants Participate in the Senior Management Team to develop and implement the strategic direction of the company Oversees IT policy development and ensures that it remains closely aligned with the organization’s business strategy Oversees planning and implementation of initiatives that effectively support current and future business strategies and goals and provides measurable efficiency gains in business operations, while maintaining efficient enterprise-wide information technology operations Oversees enterprise data and data governance to ensure the organization, maintenance, effective utilization, and security of the Company’s data resources. Oversees the Company’s digital presence, including websites, applications, portals, and other customer and partner facing technologies to ensure an efficient, intuitive, and personalized experience with the Company. Oversees IT testing and Quality Assurance processes and practices. Ensures the promotion of thoroughly tested solutions with clear tractability from requirements to production.
