Job Description:

Our client is a family-owned and operated premium pet treat manufacturer is looking for a Talent Acquistion Specialist to join their team! As a Talent Acquisition Specialist you will play a pivotal role in identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent to support our organizations growth and success. You will collaborate closely with hiring managers and department heads to understand staffing needs, develop effective recruitment strategies, and ensure a seamless candidate experience from initial contact to onboarding. This role reports into the People & Culture Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding of new employees.

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop comprehensive recruitment strategies aligned with organizational goals.

  • Utilize innovative recruitment methods and tools to proactively source passive candidates and build talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with candidates throughout the recruitment process, providing timely communication and personalized support.

  • Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness of recruitment processes, tools, and workflows to enhance efficiency and quality of hire.

  • Monitor recruitment metrics and analytics to track key performance indicators (KPIs), identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations for process improvements.

  • Provide regular updates and reports on recruitment metrics to management.

  • Demonstrate ability to think creatively and employ innovative strategies to attract and engage candidates in rural areas, including but not limited to out-of-the-box recruitment tactics and community engagement initiatives.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and best practices in talent acquisition to ensure competitive positioning and strategic advantage.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

Desired Background/Skills:

  • 5+ years proven experience as a talent acquisition specialist, recruiter, or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.

  • Experience in Ceridian is an asset.

  • Proficient with MS Office, with intermediate to advanced knowledge in Excel

  • Strong understanding of employment laws, regulations, and best practices related to recruitment and selection.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated expertise in full-cycle recruitment processes, including candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation.

  • Collaborative, professional team player with judgement to handle sensitive situations with tact, diplomacy and high ethical standards.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates and stakeholders at all levels.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
