About this position
This position provides training and professional development support to employees, supervisors, and management and coordinates training and professional development initiatives that support the organization’s goals and objectives.
The Training and Professional Development Department provides new and ongoing professional development for program staff and innovative child care and early education and school-age training for organization affiliates and community members. Training encompasses curricula, customer service, program-specific staff onboarding, licensing and funding source requirements, state-mandated compliance training, all facets of child development, classroom best practices, mentoring and coaching, staff wellness, training for family child care providers, management strategies, and more. Internal and external content specialists are used to provide the most current and innovative practices. A key objective of the Training and Professional Development Department is to ensure that the organization is providing an excellent and consistent program and client experience.?
The successful candidate will have knowledge of training and delivery methodologies, a demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion, effective communication skills for diverse audiences, and excellent organizational skills. He or she will work independently and collaboratively within a team and flourish in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who is a resourceful, creative, adaptable thinker with an upbeat, positive attitude and is eager to support the organization’s mission and achieve its strategic goals.
