Description

GENERAL ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Shipper is responsible for performing all functions related to fulfilling customer orders, including picking; replenishing pick flow racks; processing orders; packing; and maintaining housekeeping standards in the warehouse. The Shipper's first priority is to perform all of these tasks in a safe manner that prevents injuries or unsafe conditions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Following Pick Procedures to pick customer orders and replenish the Pick Flow Racks, as needed
Follow Sales Order Processing Procedures to process customer orders
Follow Packing Procedures to pack customer orders
When procedural questions arise, contact the Fulfillment Manager for guidance
Upon completion of training, utilize Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to move material, as needed
Maintain warehouse in a neat and orderly manner
When shipping supplies are low, contact the Fulfillment Manager so that they can be reordered
Break down used corrugated boxes and dispose of in appropriate container
Perform building maintenance and office equipment realignment as directed by the Fulfillment Manager
Other tasks as directed

Qualifications

MINIMUM ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Proficient data entry & email communication ability
Proficient in handling detailed work

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Standing or walking for long periods of time
Use of computer with QWERTY style keyboard
Reaching and bending
Lifting 25 - 60 lbs
Using hands to perform tasks
Exposure to dust and seasonal temperature variations
