Autonomous UH-60 Operations Research Systems Analyst

JHNA is currently seeking a Senior ORSA to join our Mission Systems Team at Fort Eustis, VA.

Roles/Responsibilities:

• Conduct complex data analysis and writes technical reports for S&T projects focused on maturing autonomy in rotary wing applications.
• Work with the program leads, technical experts, and test directors to establish data needs and meaningful metrics for measuring technical progress / state-of-the technology at test and experimentation events.
• Determine efficient and effective ways to collect the desired data and rapidly assess it for relevance.
• Identify data gaps, errors, anomalies, inconsistencies, and redundancies by performing detailed analysis of the content, structure, and relationships within data.
• Manage and performs data analysis that involves designing, developing, and utilizing mathematical, statistical, econometric, and other scientific methods and techniques.

Required Experience / Capability:

• Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in a STEM area
• Formal training in Operation Research and Systems Analysis (ORSA) or Data Science and 5 years experience in the field (10 years ORSA / Data Analyst experience may be substituted).
• 5+ years preparing formal, technical documentation for Government approval.
• 5+ years performing duties as part of a team.
• S. citizenship with a DoD SECRET clearance.
• Knowledge of document configuration management and knowledge management processes and procedures.
• Perform duties with general supervision, with latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office products.

Desired Experience / Capability:

• Demonstrated experience analyzing and documenting S&T testing.
• Experience working with Army rotary wing aircraft and/or related architectures, requirements, hardware/software, especially for military applications.
• Familiarity with Data Item Deliverables and S&T processes.

Duties Include:

• Develop, write, and edit material for reports, manuals, briefings, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications.
• Author or support the writing of test plans and test reports with input from team members for S&T test and experimentation events.
• Interview test leads and technical experts, and work with them to aggregate their daily data sheets, notes, and assessments into coherent, substantive technical reports.
• Receive assignment from supervisor, research information to become familiar with the technologies, systems, and operational environment; observe developmental and experimental activities; collect and analyze data; and present information in the clearest way possible, incorporating text, charts, graphs, pictures, etc., as appropriate.
• Complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology; and review published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, and content.
• Coordinate products with program lead and organization leadership for approval.
• Perform job functions at Fort Eustis, VA, and able to travel up to 30% with trip durations lasting up to multiple weeks.
